Who is Community Moves for?

Community Moves is for anyone that needs to engage in more regular, structured physical activity. We have tried to address many of the barriers to exercise for the large majority of the population and if one or more of the categories below has prevented you from joining a fitness centre then Community Moves may just be the solution you’ve been looking for:

  • Not sure where to start and how to move safely
  • Don’t enjoy exercising on your own
  • Find larger commercial gyms intimidating and overwhelming
  • Don’t enjoy the impersonal nature of many DIY gyms
  • Not interested in using heavy weights and large machines
I have an existing injury/condition, can I still take part?

Yes! All of our sessions contain exercises that are modifiable and interchangeable. You can always work to your own physical ability and confidence level. The main thing is that you are moving and enjoying yourself!

Exercise should be fun and accessible to all.

How many sessions should I attend each week?

All of the current research around exercise and health recommends taking part in some form of exercise everyday. However, due to busy schedules and time constraints this may not be achievable for everyone.

Community Moves classes run 6 days a week with options in the morning, lunchtime, and evening. Ideally, we’d like to see you everyday, ensuring that you are getting the most from your membership. That said, our 3 session per week package might be the best place to start if you can’t make it more often.

Exercise is a habit and one that needs to be developed like anything else. Once it becomes a habitual part of your life, you’ll wonder how you ever lived without it!

Am I able to put my membership on hold whilst I am away?

Absolutely, Community Moves will happily put your membership on hold whilst you are away and unable to attend.
