Community Moves is dedicated to having a positive impact on the local community as well as improving the health of its members.

A percentage of all weekly membership fees will be allocated to a Charity/Development fund. At a predetermined time (quarterly, annually) the money in the fund will be committed to an initiative, charity, or relevant service improvement.

Submissions will be taken from the membership, Community Moves board members will select the most relevant, membership will cast the final vote on where funds are allocated.

Potential categories:

  • Community Outreach – funds to help members connect with local programs (must be relevant)
  • Local Charity – North Sydney Cancer Clinic etc
  • Member Benefits – taxi fund for less mobile members, funds to support local health initiatives
  • Improved Services – special guest instructors, specific equipment
